His Legacy Mark Robert Lapham, age 66, passed away March 23, 2023. He was born on March 7, 1957 in Highland Park, Michigan to Robert Lapham and Helen (Robertson) Lapham. Mark married the love of his life, Jayne LaButte, on October 23, 1982 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pinckney, Michigan. They shared over 40 wonderful years together in which Mark provided a happy home for his family. Mark will be remembered as a happy and light-hearted gentle giant with a great sense of humor. He was bright, quick-witted, tender, dedicated, validating, and was a great listener. Mark was very athletic and enjoyed sports. His hobbies included golfing, running, and biking. Most of all, Mark loved spending time with his family. After 31 years at Ford, where he was a Technical Specialist, he fully enjoyed his retirement, which gave him the freedom to work out and spend his time with his family and grandkids. A big kid at heart, Mark was truly able to relate to them on their level, and his generosity with his time and the many games he played with them will never be forgotten. He will be truly missed.
His Family Mark will be missed by his loving wife, Jayne; his children, Matthew (Hilary) Lapham and Brittany (Andy) Lapham Ciantar; brother, Russell (Gretchen) Lapham; sister in-law, Jill Lapham; grandchildren, Broderick, Brooks, and Lennox; grandpup, Cash; extended brothers and sisters; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Craig and his parents, Robert and Helen Lapham.
His Farewell Mark's family and friends will gather Monday, March 27, 2023, from 3:00pm – 8:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11:00am (10am gathering) at Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Brighton, Michigan. Father John Rocus will serve as celebrant.
