Mark Lapp Obituary

WEST LIBERTY – Mark Andrew Lapp of West Liberty, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on May 13, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was born on March 12, 1939 to Noah and Florence (Arnett Yoder), who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Geraldine, and his siblings: David Yoder, Daniel Lapp, Paul Lapp, and Mary Neer.

Mark was raised on the family farm in West Liberty, where he spent his life dedicated to agriculture. He married Geraldine on July 28, 1968, and together they built a life centered around faith, family, and farming. Mark continued to operate the farm until his retirement. His greatest joys in life were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He especially loved attending their sporting events and watching them show animals at the county fair.

Mark is survived by his children: Brian (Lisa) Lapp of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Susan (Kevin) Cox of West Liberty; and Melinda (Pete) McGuire of West Liberty. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren: Taelor, Alandra, Colton, Kaden, Kenedie, Kambree, Keten, Marenna, Drayton, Emberly, Tevis, Sully, Gibzen, and Zaydee Cox; Deven and Kyle McGuire; and Andrew Lapp; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held for immediate family members to honor Mark's life and legacy.
