Mark Anderson Lemley

Mark Anderson Lemley, age 67, of Hillsboro passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 at Bethesda North Hospital. He was born the son of the late Anderson "Pete" Lemley and Beverly Sue West Lemley on March 10, 1958 in Gallipolis. Mark was a dedicated chemist for the U.S. Air Force at Wrigth Patt where his expertise was deeply valued. He was a man of quiet strength and deep intelligence, known for his calm demeanor and thoughtful nature. Mark made a lasting impact both in his professional life and in the hearts of his friends who knew him best. Beyond his accomplishments in the lab, he was best known for his caring spirit, gentle presence, and the ease with which he connected with others. Though quiet and reserved, he was remarkably easy to talk to a quality that endeared him to friends and family alike. Mark had a love of antiques. He found joy in the history and craftsmanship of each piece. Mark is survived by his special friend, Beth A. Gotherman and her daughter, Courtney Williams, both of Hillsboro; and his friends, neighbors, and family members. A private graveside service will be held at Hillsboro Cemetery.
