Mark D. Mailly

Mark D. Mailly, 40, passed away unexpectedly September 14, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born in Teaneck and formerly of Bogota and Wyckoff before moving to Hasbrouck Heights. He was a 2003 graduate of Ramapo High School and continued his education at University of Hartford. Mark started his career as an electrician for the IBEW 164 Union. Mark was recently employed as a signal maintainer for NJ Transit in Bergen County for 11 years.

Mark had a passion for football and enjoyed watching games on Sunday with his friends. He was an avid New York Giants fan. Mark loved a good meal and going out to dinner with his family and friends. Mark spent his summers going down the shore relaxing bayside with a glass of wine looking over the sunset with his wife. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing softball for the Doolies, cooking meals and playing card games together with his wife, and always being the life of the party on the dance floor.

He left a mark on every person he met. He touched the lives of many with his love, kindness, humor, warmth, and outgoing personality. He lived life to the fullest each and every day and especially loved spending time with his wife who he adored very much. Mark was the best husband, son, brother, uncle and friend that you could ask for and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Surviving is his devoted wife Ashley (VanArsdale) Mailly, his loving parents Joseph and Jane Mailly, a brother David Mailly and his wife Ann; and their children Grace, James, and Patrick, his in laws Bruce and Linda VanArsdale, and his sister-in-law Brittany Peluso and her husband David; and their daughters Juliet and Natalie.

A mass of Christian burial will be held 11am Thursday, September 18, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Ave, Somerville, NJ. Cremation will be held privately at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.

Visitation will be 3-7pm Wednesday September 17, 2025 at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville, NJ.
