Mark Maples

Mark Maples, a strong, outgoing, and kind-hearted, dad, papa, friend, uncle and brother passed on August 31, 2022, with his wife, Shawnda Maples in a tragic motorcycle accident.
Mark was a veteran in the Navy from 1983 to 1989, and told many stories of living on submarines. He was a sanitation driver for Doty trash service and loved what he did. His occupation gave him the perfect opportunity to be his goofy, out-going self to customers. It also allowed him to collect odds and ends; including multiple animals ranging from rats to kittens. He may have been a rough guy on the outside, but had a heart for animals. He loved working on his cars and motorcycles and took pride in them. He had a heart of gold when it comes to his kids and grandchildren as well. Mark married Shawnda July 3, 1992. He loved her more than many will ever know. He could not live without her.
Mark lives on through his children, Shawn Maples and Coreydon Marvel; their spouses, Shanay Maples and Dominique Marvel; grandchildren, Avery, Bella, and Camri Maples, as well as Jolene Marvel; niece and nephews, Kayla and Travis Blakemore, Dahlton and Jed Maples; brother, Darren Maples; and sister, Laurie Kivela. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pat Hall; father, Gene Maples; son, Dustin Maples; grandparents, Maxine and Ward Maples; and wife, Shawnda Maples.
Although today is full of sadness and aching hearts know that Mark is at peace rejoicing without pain. Mark wouldn't want anyone to be sad, but of course in true "Mark Fashion" would have noticed. He will be forever missed.
