Mark McDaniel Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jul. 7, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mark McDaniel, devoted father, brother, and cherished friend, who left us on July 7th, 2025 at the age of 68.
He was born on January 6th, 1957 in Bremerhaven, Germany and grew up in Huntington, West Virgina. Mark lived a life grounded in love, hard work, and good times. He was a man of humor, kindness, and joy - the kind of person who loved his family and friends but also loved the person he just met.
Mark was the proud father of four children, each of whom he loved unconditionally and supported fiercely. His greatest joy in life came from watching them grow, stumble, and succeed. He taught them what it meant to love deeply and live with laughter.
He is survived by his loving children, Clint, Morgan, Gibson, and Baylor McDaniel, his grandchildren, Remi, Beckham, Holden, and Collins. He is also survived by his siblings, Terri, Chris, Darren, Kerri, and Heather. He leaves behind a legacy of homecooked laughter-filled dinners and countless small moments that will echo in the hearts of those he loved.
Whether it was coaching a team, living the beach life, or simply being present, Mark made those around him feel seen, valued, and safe. His loss is immeasurable, but so is the love he left behind.
A celebration of his life will be held on July 19th, 2025 at Winter Park Methodist Church with services beginning at 11am.
He was our chef, safety officer, and sports fan. He will be missed more than words can say.
