Mark D. Migala

Mark Dennis Migala, age 64, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Sparta, Wisconsin.
Mark was born on August 23, 1961, in Chicago, IL to Dennis and Marilyn (Jacek) Migala. He grew up in Illinois until the family relocated to Necedah, Wisconsin where he attended Necedah High School. This is where he met and married the love of his life, Deborah Ruskowsky on June 2, 1979. He continued his education in La Crosse at the Wisconsin Technical College for carpentry and construction.
At the age of 20, Mark enlisted in the Air Force, proudly serving as a law enforcement specialist for more than eight years. Mark was eventually stationed in England for four years with his wife and two children, Jason and Michelle.
After leaving the Air Force in 1989, Mark continued working in law enforcement for many years before driving truck for Martin Trucking of Wilton, WI, residing in Tomah for nearly 30 years, before settling in Sparta.
Mark loved road-tripping on his motorcycle with Deb. He enjoyed his frequent fishing trips to Hayward or the occasional fishing trip to Canada with Jason, Jackson and Brian. Watching his three grandchildren grow up to be the young adults of today filled him with great pride.
Mark is survived by his wife, Deborah, of 46 years, son; Jason (Genevieve) Migala; daughter, Michelle (Thomas) Parlow; grandchildren, Jackson Migala, Alex Migala, and Emma Migala. He is also survived by his siblings, Paul (Mary) Migala, Bonnie (Brent) Thomas, and Julie (Jon) LaVoy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Marilyn.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Sparta. Pastor Bob Streeter will officiate. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
