MONROE, MARK S. Seymour Mark S. Monroe, age 81 passed away early Monday morning, June 22, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born May 25, 1928 in Black Creek, son of the late Dr. Mark and Esther (Porter) Monroe. On June 11, 1951 he was united in marriage to Mary Zillmer. Mark was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran and a past member of the Seymour American Legion. He also served on the City Council and the Muehl Public Library Board. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Seymour where he ushered for many years. Mark was a pharmaceutical Salesperson and trainer until his retirement. Survivors include his wife Mary, daughter Sue Monroe, Eau Claire; step-mother, Mrs. M.C. Monroe, Green Bay. He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy. Private family services will be held. Burial at Most Precious Blood Cemetery in New London.
