Mark Alan Moore

Mark Alan Moore, 46, of Athens, Passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2024. Born on December 20, 1977, Mark was the son of Charles Andrew Moore and the late Joan Cartee Moore. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from the University of Georgia, a master’s degree in early childhood education from Piedmont College, a Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University, and a Doctorate from Liberty University. He spent his professional career as a teacher and coach at Apalachee High School and Westside Middle School, but most recently as a teacher at Clarke Central High School. Mark enjoyed playing the guitar and as a member of 15 South he was the lead singer/guitarist. He attended Cornerstone Church. In addition to his father, survivors include his brother and sister in law: Gregory and Jessica Moore of Watkinsville; nephew: Jett Andrew Moore and niece Charlee Grace Moore. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 10:00AM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the funeral home.
