I did not have the privilege of knowing Mark personally, but I had the honor of spending meaningful time with his wife, Kathy, and his daughter, Katelin, on a recent mission trip to Africa. In listening to their stories, witnessing their faith, and seeing the kindness and grace they carry so naturally, it became clear to me that Mark was a man who deeply shaped the lives of those around him.
Although my career was in the roofing industry, I´ve always enjoyed mechanical work as a hands-on hobby. Reading about Mark´s long career as a mechanic made me smile - there is a shared appreciation in working with your hands, solving problems, and taking pride in doing things the right way. I have no doubt we would have enjoyed swapping stories and sharing that common ground.
Even without knowing Mark personally, I feel I know something of his heart through the wonderful family he raised. His legacy lives on in their strength, warmth, and compassion. My prayers are with Kathy, Katelin, and the entire Neely family during this difficult time. May you feel surrounded by comfort, peace, and the quiet assurance that Mark´s life continues to bear fruit through those who loved him.
With sincere sympathy and respect.
