Mark Ness Obituary
Mark was born January 11, 1943, in Virginia, MN, to Arnold and Ann (Kuzma) Ness. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers David and Philip Ness; and his twin sister, Marcia Ness.
Mark retired from Hennepin County after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He was an avid bowler for over 60 years, earning more than 35 trophies for achievements ranging from first-place finishes to high game honors. Bowling was not just a hobby for Mark-it was a lifelong passion that brought him joy and friendships that lasted decades.
He will be remembered for his quick wit, love of storytelling, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. Mark enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing memories of growing up in Virginia, MN, and talking about his many trips to Las Vegas. His kindness touched everyone who knew him.
Mark is survived by nephews Lance, John, and James; niece Kimberly; special caregivers Christy and Norma; and several longtime friends.
Burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Virginia, MN, alongside his twin sister.
Memorial Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec 20 with reception to follow at:
Washburn-McReavy.com.
