Mark Peters Obituary
Mark was born in Kentucky, raised in South Carolina and moved to Georgia. He worked for Gulfstream Aerospace in the seat and upholstery department. Mark was a loving and compassionate person with a soft heart for anyone in need, he was also a dedicated worker who enjoyed working with his hands and finding solutions to complex problems. He was a valued employee, a loyal friend and mentor to many. Everyone will remember Mark for his sweet smile. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and boating with friends, camping with his family in the mountains and attending NASCAR races where he could watch his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt in action.
Survivors include his daughter, Maegan Peters and her two children, Raelynn and Jackson; parents, Ralph and Juanita Peters; a sister, Sherry Smith (Dr. George Dukes Smith; and three nieces.
Private services for the family were held on October 20, 2025 at Strickland Funeral Home.

Mark was always such a grounded and positive person in any given situation even if it was stressful. I always loved being in his presence. He was a joy of light and I will miss him so.

I was saddened to hear the loss of Mark. I enjoyed working with him in the seat shop for several years....although we no longer worked in close proximity, his presence will still be greatly missed. Prayers for the family and close friends
