Mark Thomas Pheney, aged 64, of Farmington Hills, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025.

Mark was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 21, 1960, to Gloria Ann and Thomas Bernard Pheney. Mark graduated from Harrison High School and went on to attend Schoolcraft College.

Mark was a sweet and gentle soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. From an early age, Mark loved baseball and the Detroit Tigers in particular. He was an avid fan and baseball card enthusiast, spending countless hours of his boyhood collecting and trading them with his buddies. He was an absolute whiz with math and numbers and could recall numbers and calculate percentages and batting averages like nobody’s business. He truly enjoyed the simple things in life - gatherings with family and friends, good food, and laughter.

A beloved son, brother, cousin, uncle, father and grandfather, Mark is survived by two grandchildren; his father, Thomas; his sisters, Susan and Nancy (Jeff); and several nieces, a nephew and cousins.

Mark is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria and his daughter, Ashlyn.

He will be dearly missed.

A visitation and funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows church in Farmington, Michigan on Friday, April 11th. Visitation begins at 9:30 AM, followed by mass at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Angela Hospice.
