Mark Phipps, 62, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at his home in Elizabeth, IN. He was born May 20, 1963 in Corydon, Indiana the son of Earl Frederick and Martha Jane Copelin Phipps. He was a boat pilot for C & B Marine and was a member of Emmaus Road Church in Clarksville, IN. Mark was a former volunteer fire fighter, was an avid fisherman but most of all was a loving husband, son, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his father, his wife Patricia Mundy Phipps of Elizabeth, IN; children, Corey Phipps (Samantha), Jacob Phipps and Danielle Phipps all of Elizabeth, IN, Casey Phipps of Leavenworth, IN and Rachel Wear (Andrew) of Pigeon Forge, TN; brother, Gary Phipps (Beverly) of Elizabeth, IN; grandchildren, Mason and Sophia Phipps, Noah, Nelahara and Naomi Wear and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM Monday, March 23, 2026 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Pastor Coy Sampson will officiate. Visitation will also be on Monday from 3 PM until the service at 6 PM at the funeral home in Corydon. The family request memorial gifts to be made to the American Cancer Society.
