Robert "Bob" Nevitt Sr., 86, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at River Crest Assisted Living in New Albany, Indiana.

Bob was born on November 10, 1939, and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated from St. Xavier High School and then earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering for the J. B. Speed School at the University of Louisville. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and stamp/coin collecting. Those who knew Bob Will remember him for his excellent fishing and hunting skills.

Above all, he cherished time with his family. He is survived by his spouse, Patricia Nevitt. Bob and Pat have celebrated 62 years of marriage. From that union came their children, Bob Nevitt Jr. (Bridgett), Debbie Robertson (Jamie), and Michael Nevitt. Grandchildren: Frank Nevitt, Emily Cook (Ethan), Ashley Kraft (Paul), Connor Nevitt, Cassidy Nevitt and Madison Ford (Demarko) plus 10 great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Jeanette Nevitt and brother Charles "Dodie" Nevitt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, March 23, 2006, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lanesville, Indiana, Father Steve Banet will be officiating. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 AM before the Mass followed by burial in the church cemetery and a Celebration of Life at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Disease, P O Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741.

Bob's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and love him.
