Mark Bronson Reilly, 66, formerly of Beacon Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital.

Mr. Reilly was born December 4, 1956, in Waterbury, the son of the late James and Martha (McGeever) Reilly.  Mark was a lifelong resident of the town he loved, Beacon Falls, before moving to Seymour two years ago.

Mark enjoyed working outside and tending to his lawn, he loved the smell of fresh cut grass, he enjoyed working on his house, he looked forward to summer cookouts and Sunday dinners, he loved to play pool (billiards) at home with family and friends, and listening to music, especially the Beatles and Jimmy Buffet.

Mark had worked as a meat cutter for 45 years and spent the majority of his career at Southbury Food Center, where he earned the title of “Friendliest Butcher”.

Mark rooted for the Yankees and would always be sporting a Yankees hat or jacket. He also was the biggest fan of the Washington Redskins. Although, his greatest joy was spending time with his “little monsters”, his grandchildren.

Mark is survived by his children: Jennifer Reilly-Connan (Tony Brewjo) of Beacon Falls, Adam Reilly of Beacon Falls, Maureen Carroll (Ryan) of Beacon Falls, Heather Reilly (Eric Castelot) of Seymour, his former wife Joan Brown-Reilly of Beacon Falls, and his seven loving grandchildren: Michael, Matthew and Madison Connan, Abigail Reilly, Logan and Paige Carroll and Charlie Castelot.

Mark is predeceased by his eldest brother and best friend, James Reilly of New York. He is survived by his siblings Robert Reilly of Cape Porpoise, Maine, Susan Seaha (Thomas) of Florida, Anne Reilly of Ohio, Jane Reilly of Minnesota, and Craig Reilly (Kate) of Virginia. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Arrangements – Visitation for Mr. Reilly will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St.  At 11 a.m. his funeral procession will depart from the funeral home and proceed to Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown for a graveside service.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Beacon Hose Company # 1, 35 N Main St, Beacon Falls, CT 06403 - Beacon Falls’ volunteer fire department which Mark Reilly was very proud of and always supported.   Find out if pre-planning is right for you. https://www.fordfh.com/planning-ahead
