Mark Allen Richards (64 years old), formally of Choctaw, OK, passed away on December 4, 2024. He was born on February 1, 1960, to the late Ray & Nancy Richards. Mark graduated from Choctaw High School in May of 1978. Mark joined the Army April of 1980. He proudly served his country for 13 years, 10 months, and 24 days and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3rd OLC), Good Conduct Medal (4th AWD), and National Defense Service Medal. He was a loving father, son, brother, friend, and papa. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, boating, and shark fishing in Corpus Christie, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Nancy, and his brother Glen. He is survived by his Children, Son Blake Richards of Louisiana, Daughter Toni Richards (Chris) of Oklahoma, and Daughter Casandra Richards (Shawn) of Nebraska. He was the proud grandfather of Joel and Alysea Tayor and Alexis and Ella Richards. He is also survived by a brother Charles, sister Beverly, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial/celebration of life will be held on his birthday, February 1, 2025, at 3:30pm at Guthrie Lake, OK with military honors. Please bring a camping/lawn chair and if possible, a fishing pole. Service will be followed by a small meal provided by the family.
