CORUNNA - Mark A. Rottger, 56, of Corunna, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1967, in Auburn, Indiana, to Harry J. and Cindy (Farrington) Rottger. His parents both survive in Corunna.
Mark worked at Lakeside Book Company in Kendallville.
He was a Jr. Volunteer Fireman for the Corunna Fire Department.
He loved to cook and enjoyed mushroom hunting. What he enjoyed the most was fishing. He was a Master Bass Fisherman, winning or placing high in a number of tournaments.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa (Arnold) Rottger. They were married on Sept. 15, 2018, in Harbor Love Church in Kendallville.
Also surviving are three children, Kelli (Chandler) Rice, of Fort Wayne, Chris Cook, of Ashland, Kentucky, and Zach Cook, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Cooper Rice, Ezra Cook, Noah Cook and soon to arrive, Calum Rice; two sisters, Heather Depew, of Auburn and Tonya (Allen) Hartings, of Coldwater, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Micolea (Stephen) Boviall, Zachary (Brit) Depew and Denton Gamble; and his two dogs and cat, Annie, Bella and Abby.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Allen Rottger; nephew, Dustin Gamble; and grandparents, Harry and Mary Rottger and Tom and Pat Farrington.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, Indiana, with the Rev. Charles Mosely officiating.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 2-6 p., at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at a later date at Sedan Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in memory of Mark, to Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help with expenses or the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
The family also asks that if you can, please bring bait or lure to the viewing, that can be donated to C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation (a program that enriches the lives of children with special needs, supporting their families, and strengthening communities through the sport of fishing )in memory of Mark.
