Sandy Hemmingson

Sandy Hemmingson, age 69, passed away in Lindale, Texas on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born on April 12, 1954 in Dallas, Texas. Sandy graduated with a bachelors and masters of science from Southern Methodist University. She worked as an educator in Denton and Wylie ISD. Upon retirement she moved to Hideaway Texas and was involved in many groups including Kiwanis, canasta, line dancing, ballroom dancing, and a singles group. She is preceded in death by parents, Lynn Bryant and Kathrine (Dimitratos) Parks; husband, George Hemmingson III; brother, Tom Parks; sister, Lynna (Smokey) Gnatt. She is survived by children, Laura Crook of Ben Wheeler, Dan Hemmingson of Carrolton, Kathrine Hemmingson of Ben Wheeler; sister, Nancy Arey; In-laws: Gary Arey, Sue and Paul Iverson, Elizabeth Hemmingson and Tony Mantzuranis; and grandchildren Nicole Crook, Ethan Crook, Colten Sanderfer, and Caden Sanderfer; and one great-grandchild on the way. A visitation followed by a funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Tom Buck. A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
