Mark Phillip Sessions, 43, of McDade, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2024, in Midland, TX, where he worked.
Mark was born on October 31, 1980, to Michele Patricia Williams and Macy Moore Sessions Jr. (Mike) in Houston, TX. He was raised in Houston and later moved to New Iberia, LA, where he graduated from New Iberia High School in 2000. He graduated from Texas A&M Fire Academy in 2000. Mark was cherished by many for his kind heart and welcoming nature. He never met a stranger and always wore a smile. He enjoyed a simple, easygoing life and had a deep love for sports, particularly cheering on his favorite teams: the Texas A&M Aggies, the Houston Texans, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Mark's greatest joy in life was being a father to his three children: Jay, Cali, and Reagan. He loved to tease his family members, especially his younger sister and all his nieces and nephews, always placing family above all else. Just a few days before his passing, Mark became engaged to Vanessa Thompson and was eagerly looking forward to spending his life with her.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Macy Moore Sessions Jr. (Mike); his sister, Michelle Laviolette Swaim; his great-grandmother, Marie Campbell; his grandparents, John and Bette Mathis, and Macy and Georgia Sessions; and his uncle, Carl Sessions. He is survived by his mother, Michele Williams, and stepfather, Scott Williams; his fiancée, Vanessa Thompson; his son, Jay Sessions (Bethanie Sessions); his daughters, Cali and Reagan Sessions, and their mother, Julie Sessions; his brother, Michael Sessions (Heather Sessions); his sister, Elizabeth Vannapha (Vinny Vannapha); his aunts, Maureen Mathis, Tia Bertie Moreno, and Linda Connell (Jim Connell); his uncle, Robert Sessions; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life, at Lindsay Lakes Chapel of Cypress, Tuesday, July 30th at 12:00 PM (16536 Mueschke Rd, Cypress TX 77433) Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions in Mark's Memory to a trust, which has been set up for his daughters, Cali and Reagan Sessions to the Trustee: Michael Sessions, 10831 William Pass Lane, Cypress, TX 77433.
