Obituary Francis Mark Shawver
Francis Mark Shawver, 73, of Pingree, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
Mark was born March 26, 1952 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Afton Catherine Hawkes and Kenneth Clarence Shawver Jr.
Mark spent his lifetime in the Pingree area. He attended schools in Pingree, Rockford and Snake River and achieved perfect attendance throughout.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mark had a love for farming that started in his youth. He ran a successful farming business until his passing.
He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling and spending time at his cabin in Island Park.
Mark is survived by his mother, Afton Shawver; siblings DeAnn (Pete) Bartausky of Blackfoot and Todd (Susan) Shawver of Pingree; close friend and companion Julia Valentine and her daughter Debbie Katseanes; his 7 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Shawver Jr.; and a great niece, Noelle Shawver.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. The family will meet with friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 and again for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.
