Mark Alan Shores, 68, entered into rest on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Mark was born on February 10, 1956, in Dover, Ohio. While attending college to further his education, he began his civil service career with the United States Air Force in Ohio. His career afforded him a great deal of traveling, both in the states and abroad. Mark was considered a “busy bee”, especially when it came to his family. He was the kind of man who had never met a stranger and a jokester who loved to get big laughs from those he loved. He never missed Christmas back home in Ohio until he grew ill; it was an annual tradition that he held tight to. A big Buckeye fan, Mark was a diehard fan of Ohio State. When he wasn’t cheering on his Buckeyes, he could be found in the great outdoors golfing or hiking. Mark will be deeply missed by those he held most dear.

His mother, Sandra Fisher Shores, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Yuni Choi Shores of Warner Robins, GA; children, Johonna Shores and Lucas Shores, both of Atlanta, GA; father, Jack Shores of New Philadelphia, OH; sister, Tammi Everett (Robert) of New Philadelphia, OH; and niece, Tiffani Everett of Bolivar, OH along with many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Mark Shores to the Alzheimer's Association at 3040 Riverside Drive, Suite B4, Macon, GA 31210.

For those unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
