Mark James Sobczyk

Mark J. Sobczyk, age 60, passed away Tuesday, November 18th, 2025. Beloved husband of 26 years to Carol (nee Schiff). Dear son of Matthew and the late Lucy Ann. Cherished brother of Lucy Marie (Chip) Mencke and uncle to their two children; Sydney & Connor. Caring brother-in-law to Janice (Jeff) Pizem and uncle to their son, Zachary. Loving son-in-law to Barbara and the late Gerald Schiff. Treasured "Pet Papa" to Nikko & Rocco.

Mark was a devoted husband, loving family man, and cherished friend. Mark and his wife, Carol, shared 26 beautiful years of marriage. From the moment they met, Mark adored Carol, and together they built a life filled with love, adventure, and companionship. Whether traveling, exploring new places, spending time with friends, or their beloved fur babies, they were inseparable- a true team, it was always Carol and Mark against the world.

Mark's love for his family was boundless. In recent years, he selflessly cared for his father, stopping by every day after work to tend to his needs, even after long days at the Chatfield Steel Company, where he worked for 30 years. Known affectionately as "Sparky" by his coworkers, Mark was admired for his hard work, reliability, and dedication.

Above all, Mark was a genuine and loyal friend. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for those he cared about. His gratitude for the people in his life and simple joys of the world around, was a defining part of who he was. Mark's kindness, warmth, and unwavering spirit touched countless lives.

Taken from us far too soon, Mark leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and gratitude. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 11:30 AM in Tomon & Sons Funeral Home, 4772 Pearl Rd.(N. of Brookpark Rd.), Cleveland, OH 44109, Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Family will received friends prior to services beginning at 10:00 AM.
