Mark Daniel Stamper, age 62, passed away on July 8, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was known to most as "Reddog" and "Coach RedDog." Mark was born in Warsaw on December 15,1961 to Donald "Donny" Stamper and Susan Hover Stamper; his father survives.

Mark grew up in the Warsaw area playing multiple softball and basketball leagues in his youth. He also spent time at Baker Youth Club where Coach Lichtenwalter was a good influence on him. He graduated from Warsaw Community High School with the class of 1980. Professionally, Mark's career was marked by hard work and dedication. He spent more than 30years at AkzoNobel Powder Coating, where he held various roles in several departments including Powder Coating, the Warehouse, and Shipping/Receiving. Even in retirement, he continued to serve others by driving for the Elkhart County Council on Aging.

His passion for football led him to become a longtime coach and a founding member of the Young Tiger Football program. Mark played a vital role in establishing Fribley Field, leaving a lasting impact on the local sports community. He was proud of his involvement in youth football programs. He dedicated countless hours to recruiting, coaching, refereeing, and supporting young athletes throughout his life.

Outside of work and sports, Mark found joy in motorcycle riding with his wife and cheering on teams like the IU Hoosiers, Miami Hurricanes, Chicago White Sox, and Minnesota Vikings. Above all else, he cherished his role as a proud father and dedicated grandfather.

 Red faced health challenges in his later years but did so with courage and determination in Christ with gave his life at age 59. He was certain to make time for his family and sports - in that order.

In addition to his father, Donny Stamper of Ligonier, Mark leaves behind a grieving family including his beloved wife, Beverly "Bev" Stamper; children, Bryan (Misty) Stamper of Warsaw, Trent (Lilli) Stamper of Warsaw, Holly (Brandon) Tackett of Warsaw, Katie Stamper of Nappanee, Quinten (Brette) Stamper of Atwood and stepdaughter, Alisha (Jay Wade) Miller of Vandalia, MI.; his adored 11 grandchildren; and a 12th grandchild on the way. He who was excited to meet them soon. Also surviving two great-grandchildren and two siblings: brother, Dee Jay Stamper of Warsaw and sister, Kassie (Dale) Tennant of Leesburg and his ex-wife of 25 years, Peggy Beck with whom he remained close. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Susan Stamper; granddaughter, Adalin Stamper and stepdaughter, Tifani Miller.

Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2000 Sheridan Street in Warsaw is entrusted with care of Red and the family. A Life Celebration gathering will be held on Sunday, August 11th at 3pm At Fribley Field, 700 E. Market St. Warsaw. IN 46580. Please wear your favorite football team shirt or jersey. Those in attendance will be welcome to speak, sharing special stories or memories about Mark.

Following the Life Celebration, there will be a dinner held - all are welcome at the Center Park Pavillion, 119 E. Canal Street, Warsaw. The family will provide the entrées, guests are encouraged to bring a side or dessert.
