Dear Mindy and family of Mark Halpern,
I had the privilege of working with Mark when he was a corporate attorney for the healthcare company where I was employed to 2003. I was actually in his office with a co-worker to attend a deposition on September 11th when the first tower fell. He also represented my husband in a personal matter back in 1986. I was saddened to learn of his passing. He was the best - a gentleman and always full of energy. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

We want to express our deepest condolences to Mindy and the family. Mark was a kind and friendly neighbor, who always had a smile on his face when I saw him in the neighborhood, especially when he was with his grandchildren. We appreciate how kind he was to our kids, especially in letting them use his pool for Barri to give them swim lessons :)
May your memories and the love of friends and family comfort you during the difficult time. You and he are in our thoughts and prayers.

We were so sad to hear about Mark´s passing away. We have such fond memories of the Block Parties here on Ridgeway Road with the Halperns, and carpooling to school and more. May Mark´s memory be a blessing, and may you find comfort in this very, very difficult time.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I will be unable to attend the celebration as I´ll be out of town. Just know that older group of Ridgeway, I included, still reflect at times on how vivacious Mark´s personality was.

"In time, you won't remember what they said, but you'll always remember how they made you feel."
I contend the biggest miss of his beloved pool was his lack of enormous Olive Garden sign -- because when you were there, you were family. He had a way of immediately building connection by poking fun and coyly putting himself down in every compliment he gave. He welcomed us, our kids, and fast became a beloved part of our lives and we will miss him dearly.
His legacy lives on through his kids and grandkids, who no doubt will walk this world creating community, leading life with joy, and making every person they come across feel so important and special. Our hearts are with the Halperns <3

We are deeply saddened to hear of Mark´s passing. A favorite memory of him will be of walking by his house and seeing him on his mower/tractor, usually every weekend. Whether he was wrestling with a Cornerstone HOA problem or taking a walk around the neighborhood with Mindy and one of his beautiful dogs, he always had time to chat. Sending our thoughts and condolences to his entire family.

We are sadden to hear of Mark´s passing. Our fondest memories of him of course had to do with errant tree limbs and other Cornerstone HOA matters. Always quick to lend an electric saw of the exact size for the project in question. We knew he was on the way when we´d see him in his John Deer Gator. Sending prayers to the entire Halpern family.

We are shocked and dismayed by the passing of Mark, and send Mindy and the whole family our condolences. Mark was a neighbor and friend and we rarely missed an opportunity to stop and exchange some humerous banter with him. He was always funny and upbeat, and helped us whenever he could. We will miss him terribly,

Way back in the 20th century I lived around the corner from the Halpern family. I was surprised at Mark's passing. He is three years younger than me. Pancreatic Cancer is a tough one to beat. My pancreas is already effected I am a insulin dependent diabetic. Will they be sitting shiva?
