Mark, a devoted husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by love on January 14, 2026. He lived a life defined by hard work, family, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.
Mark's journey began with a unique claim to fame as a child model, most notably appearing on the box of the classic game Cooties.
He raised strong foundations, attending Catholic school and graduating from Totino-Grace high school, experiences that helped shape his values and strong work ethic.
Mark built his forever home on Peltier Lake, where he raised his twin daughters, Katie and Kelsie, with devotion, creating a lifetime of memories rooted in love, laughter, and lake life. He later met and married his beloved wife Denise, and together they blended a family. He was a great and caring stepfather to Crystal and Ryan, a role he embraced with pride and honor.
He was an amazing and loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy. Family was always at the center of his life.
Mark had a long and respected career as a member of Sheet Metal Local 10, from which he retired with pride. Even in retirement, he stayed busy doing what he loved most. His yard was his joy; a place carefully tended and took great fulfillment in. He loved fishing, the outdoors, watching birds, and was an avid golfer who enjoyed every moment on the course.
Above all, Mark will be remembered for his famous “Mark-isms”, a dry, one-of-a-kind wit that only he could deliver, his love of family, his kindness, and his appreciation for the simple, beautiful moments in life. He leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Survived by loving wife, Denise; children, Katie (Brandon), Kelsie (Sean), Crystal (Blake Sr.), Ryan (Hannah); grandchildren, Skye, Annabell, Chase, Adyn, Kylie, Edwin, Jaslynn, Jack, Austin, Payton, Jagger, Grace, Blake Jr.; siblings, Mike (Chris), Mary (Bill), Bill (Lynn); and many, many other family and friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Francis "Bill" and Charlotte; and infant sister.
