Mark Steven "Steve" Taylor, 66, of Irving, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 21, 2025. Steve was born in Hillsboro, Illinois, February 17, 1959, a son of Laverne Eugene "Gene" and Wanda Elaine (Elam) Taylor. He was employed as a carpenter and was a member of Carpenter's Local 725. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. Steve was a member of Open Arms Fellowship in Irving, and New Attitudes Biker Club in Alton.

Steve is survived by his mother, Wanda Elam of Irving; his son, Jason Huddelston and family of Florida; his daughter, Heather (Jack) Spenceberger of Coffeen; his brother, Carl (Susan Shannon) Taylor of Irving; and several grandchildren.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Gene Taylor; a daughter, Carrie Lynn Taylor; a brother, Timmy Dean Taylor; and sister Lola Sue "Cheata" Durbin and Gina Dvorak.

Funeral services for Steve will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Open Arms Fellowship in Irving. Pastor Randy White will officiate. Burial will follow in Irving Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Open Arms Fellowship, 103 Cedar St, Irving, IL 62051.
