Mark VerStrate Obituary
Mark grew up in the Byron Center area and enjoyed playing sports. He lived most of his adult life in Florida where he worked in the hospitality and courier fields. He was an avid sports fan, cheering for the Buccaneers, Lightning, Rays, Lions and the Wolverines.
He is survived by his children, Magan (Jason) Eikenberry, Heather (Alex) Hue, Alaina Kreger, Ian VerStrate; two stepchildren, Katie (Brad) Reed and Jordan (Brittany Gray) Smith; grandchildren, Kierien Perales, David Hornstra, Kyleana Perales, Hailey Hue and Henzie Hue; great grandchildren Ares, Emersyn, Makhari and Za'Man. Two sisters, Kathy (Aaron) Cichocki and Susan Polhamus; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Jesse; sisters, Sharon Leatherwood and Diane Tilma.
Per his wishes no services will be held.

Mark and I were like brothers. If either of us needed help with anything, we helped. We enjoyed going out for drinks and dinners. We worked in different departments in a resort and helped each other where we could. He has been missed and always shall!
