Later in his life, Mark decided he wanted to do more to help others, he went back to school and earned his associate degree in nursing. Mark was known for his sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. He also enjoyed wood-working, shooting guns and target practicing.
He had accepted Jesus as his Savior and had great faith in God; he would always tell his wife during his illness, "The Lord will see us through".
