This obituary popped up in my FB feed today, so this is a belated tribute. Mark Wilson was in my 4th grade class in Palos Verdes way back in 1961 and remained a classmate all the way through until graduation in 1970. His interest in magic started early and he shared a few tricks with the class. There was a famous magician at the time ironically named Mark Wilson that he had taken an interest in. I didn´t get to know him well over the years, but I enjoyed seeing him at class reunions, the last in 2000. I´m pleased that he followed his passion and lived life to the fullest. Belated condolences to Susan and to the Wilson family.

I was invited to spend the evening at The Magic Castle and met Mark Edward there. We only spoke for about 5 minutes or so, but it was memorable. What a rich life he lived! He touched many lives in such a positive way. Susan, sending you prayers as you look to your next chapter and wish you well. Mark will always be remembered in a truly positive light, even by those who only experienced him for a short time.

Lastly, to whomever penned this Obituary, thank you for the time, effort and, dedication to fully honor Mark and to give us a glimpse into a remarkable man's life and the journey he took.

Mark and Susan came to Portland to do a presentation about exposing The Seatbelt Zeppelin (Thomas John) and Sylvia Browne. Before the show, Mark performed as a mentalist, and I got to be the audience member.
Now, heh.... how did he know I was thinking about a wristwatch?
I still enjoy remembering it years later. And I kept suggesting that the hosting groups bring them back.
Alas, would that it were so.

Although I never met him, his life was clearly impressive and I know I would have enjoyed talking with him. I'm glad his writings live on.

I met Mark at the Magistrorum conference last year. There were so many folks there whom I knew by reputation and their published works. Mark was one of them.

I'll always cherish the memory of buying his book Bundles and then having him share his personal bundle of vintage correspondence. The old bundle of envelopes was filled with eerie stories and... dare I say it... magic!

I've since begun working on my own Bundle. It will be years, I'm sure, before it's complete but I'll think about Mark every time I add a story to it. In fact, maybe Mark will be one of the stories in my bundle. My condolences to Susan, the cats, and all those who knew Mark. A bit of mystery and wonder has escaped this world.

Mark and I shared skepticism, but I smile when I think about him talking about his job and showing how much he cared about kids.
