Mark A. Winker, age 68, of Escanaba passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home.

Mark was born on February 18, 1957, in Escanaba, the son of John A. and Helen (Smith) Winker. He attended and graduated from Escanaba Area Schools Class of 1975.

He was united in marriage to Debra King on December 3, 1977. Together they made their home in Escanaba and raised their three fantastic children.

Mark retired from VanAire in 2020. His greatest joy was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter. Mark also enjoyed riding motorcycles, restoring his 1967 Camaro, and shooting and collecting guns.

In addition to his loving wife, Debra, Mark is survived by:

Children: Melissa (Bob) Becotte of Gladstone, MI, Greg (Jenna) Winker of Menominee, MI and John (Rebecca Beauchamp) Winker of Escanaba, MI

Mother: Helen Winker of Escanaba, MI

2 Sisters: Carol (Walter) Fountain of Green Bay, WI and Kathy (Dale) Bergquist of Escanaba, MI

Grandchildren: Nick Becotte, Tyler (Gretchen) Larson, Ryan Becotte, Madison Dubord, Hallie Winker, Blake and Brayden Winker

Great Granddaughter: Nora Larson

Bonus Child: Chris (Dominique) Veeser

And numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins

Mark is preceded in death by his Father, John A. Winker and Parents-in-law: Curly and Rosalie King

Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba. Funeral services will conclude visiting hours at 5:00 PM. Mark will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells, MI. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Winker family.
