Mark Fortnam Zappe

Mark Fortnam Zappe, of Warwick, RI, formerly of Quincy, MA and Westwood, MA passed away on December 20th, 2023 at the age of 70. He is predeceased by his wife, Ann M. Doyle, and sister Karen A. (Zappe) Emerson. Devoted son of the late R. Shirley (Fortnam) Zappe and late Christian J. Zappe. He is survived by his son, Matthew J. Doyle of Brookline, MA, daughter, Leana D. Zappe of Warwick, RI, brother, John C. Zappe of South Portland, ME, and many caring extended family and friends.
Mark's primary interest was his family. He was particularly dedicated to creating a loving bond with his children. In his younger years Mark was an avid skier and beachgoer. He also enjoyed performing home projects, walking the neighborhood, reading history, and rooting for the Patriots. Mark graduated from the Wentworth Institute of Technology and went on to become an architectural drafter. During his career Mark worked on many Boston-area residential and commercial construction projects including the Granite Links clubhouse in Quincy and numerous car dealerships along the Route 1 Automile in Norwood.
Visitation will be held Wednesday January 3rd, 2024 from 4 to 8 PM at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street in Quincy. The funeral will follow on Thursday January 4th at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street in Quincy. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, 815 Willard Street, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Foundation, online, or by check at 201 Chicago Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55415.
