Markus Lynn Marr

Markus Lynn Marr, age 53, of Mansfield, Louisiana passed away on November 19, 2025. He was born on January 21, 1972 in Mansfield to Jerry Dean and Lawanda Weaver Marr.

Markus was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lawanda Marr; uncle, Kenneth Wayne Marr; paternal grandparents, Ernest and Jackie Marr; maternal grandparents, Edward and Malissie Weaver.

Left to cherish his memory includes his loving wife of 18 years, Crystal Marr; sons, Gavin Carrington (Braelyn), Dennis Marr (Maegan), and Tyler Carrington (Tori); daughters, Alexandria Marr (Jake); Jaclynn Marr, and Catherine Marr (Dalton); sister, Balinda Marr Youngblood (Kenneth); brother, Jeffrey Marr (Pamela); grandchildren, Kinsley Carrington, Maverick Carrington, and Levi Martin; best friend, Tony Kittrell; a host of nieces and nephews; his best furry friends, Gus and Reah; along with his church family at Fellowship Baptist.

Markus was an avid hunter, beloved friend to many, and deliverer of any and all dad jokes. Recently, Markus was saved and made Deacon of Fellowship Baptist Church in Mansfield, Louisiana

A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025 located at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 943 Polk St, Mansfield, Louisiana 71052. Funeral services honoring the life of Markus will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Fellowship Baptist Church, 200 Pam St, Mansfield, Louisiana 71052 with Pastor Weyland Gauntt and Tony Kittrell to officiate.

Honoring Markus as pallbearers will be Gavin Carrington, D.J. Marr, Tyler Carrington, Jake Martin, Christopher Smith, Kaleb Marr, Michael Marr, and Corey McMillion.
