Such a shock to find out Marla passed away! I knew Marla since we were 5 years old. We lived 2 houses apart and best friends for so many years. We lost touch after she moved to Florida but came around once in awhile. I have the best childhood memories ever! I tried for many years to get in touch with her. My heart goes out to everyone in her family. Her mom, sisters Joanne, Nancy and brother, Freddie.

I knew Marla for well over 30 years. She was a pleasant and hard-working coworker, a steady influence on those around her, and a good person who left this earth way too soon. Her sweet demeanor and pleasant smile will be missed.

Marla was the most selfless, kind and caring person I have ever known. I am so grateful I called her my friend. She was always there for you no matter what. I will miss her dearly. Sending thoughts and prayers to you all during this difficult time. May she live forever in your memory.

I had the pleasure of working with Marla for several years. She was an amazing gal with a such a big heart. She took great care of the patients and the staff..in many incidences she was "the glue" for us all! Her laugh was infectious and she could be a bit mischievous! I would look forward to going into work knowing I would see her. My deepest condolences to her family.

Dear Marveleen and Family; Marla and I worked together for many years in Radiation Therapy! We always shared our family events and info. Marla was so fond of her Mom, Dad and family, always proud of the nieces and nephews! Marla was one of the most loyal and dedicated employees of the many that worked at Broward General for 38 years. Marla brought her "business office" expertise to Radiation Therapy many years ago. Marla was the "rock" for so many patients and their families dealing with cancer and could guide them through many obstacles. Marla was always compassionate and professional as well as a great friend! So glad we visited each other in our "laid back" lifestyle over the past year or so. Marla and Ed are at peace now with each other, as well as Dad! Our most sincere condolences to your family! Marla will be missed greatly! With sympathy, Don and Lori Douglass
