Marla Hanf Parmett passed away peacefully at her home in Naples, Florida on November 19, 2025.

Marla is survived, by her husband, Stephan Parmett, two stepchildren and their spouses Justin and Helen Morgan Parmett of Williston, VT and Meredith and Michael Matson of Baldwin, NY, and her three beloved grandchildren, Nakobe Morgan Parmett, Max Matson, and Luke Matson. Marla is also survived by her brother Charlie Hanf and his wife Arline.

Marla was born on April 24,1954 to Nathan and Florence Hanf in the Bronx, New York. She spent much of her life on Long Island, NY, before retiring to Naples in 2020.

Marla had an unmatched zest for life. She was active in the Jazzercise community, where she made many dear life-long friends. Marla worked as a social worker for special needs students through New York's BOCES program, where she built deep connections with her students and friends whom she cherished. Marla was surrounded by her family and her beloved dog, Summer Girl, when she passed away. Marla and her unique sense of humor, big smile, and capacity for love will be dearly missed by all of those who were lucky enough to know her.
