Marlene J. Bacon

Marlene J. Bacon, age 86 of Westfield passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at UPMC Cole. She was born May 21, 1939 in Meshoppen, PA to the late Cecil (Staight) Pond and Harry Staight. On October 5, 1963 she and Andrew Bacon were married, spending 60 years together before his passing on December 25, 2023. She along side Andrew ran the CV Angler's Club for many years. She was an independent, strong willed and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially her great granddaughter. Marlene is survived by her daughter, Darlene; grandson, Timothy (Gabrielle) VanDusen; great granddaughter, Amarra VanDusen and sisters, Sharon Slaymaker and Alice Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Harry Staight, Jr., Bud Pond, Raymond Staight and her sister, Betty Young. Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 W. Main St., Westfield on Thursday, March 5th from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
