Slidell ~ Marlene Bell Branson, 75, went to be with our Lord Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 in Denton, Texas.
Funeral is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 6th, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Slidell with burial at Slidell Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Monday at the church.
Pastor Todd Stevens will officiate. Pallbearers include Craig Fitzgearld, Bubba Stastny, Bradley Burger, Branson Burger, Karson Stastny, Tye Chandler, Josh Copeland, and Scott Hayes.
Marlene was born June 5th, 1948 to George R. and Glendolla (Crawford) Moise in Houston, Missouri. She was united in marriage May 22nd, 1965 to the love of her life Kenneth Allen Branson in Graff, Missouri, married happily for 55 years before his passing in 2020. Marlene was retired from Slidell Independent School District after 37 years as a Special Education Aid. She was a beloved, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many who will dearly miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Glendolla Moise; her husband, Kenneth Branson; a brother, Michael Moise; 2 sisters, Elaine Colborn and Carollene Coats.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, LaDawn Fitzgearld and husband Craig of Krum, Karla Stastny and husband Bubba of Sanger, and Krista Burger and husband Bradley of Pilot Point; grandchildren, Cassidy Copeland and husband Josh, Presley Chandler and husband Tye, Brittney Burger, Chandler Fitzgearld, Kennedee Stastny, Branson Burger and wife Madi, and Karson Stastny; 6 great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Jaxton & Jhett Copeland, Banks & Baker Chandler, and Bailey Burger; many nieces and nephews, her beloved sisters in love, Brenda Hayes and Cindy Hartman; extended family members and a host of friends.
