LILESVILLE - On Friday, September 19, 2025, Mrs. Marlene Mercedes Delgado, 63, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully to be with the Lord at her home with her family at her bedside.
There will be a memorial service at 4:00 PM, Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Pastor Lonnie Grose officiating.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday and other times at the home on Hailey’s Ferry Road in Lilesville.
Marlene was born October 27, 1961, in Havanna, Cuba with her family name Marlene De Las Mercedes Delgado Muiña and was a daughter of Ramon Enrique Delgado the late Elda Muina Delgado. She was a homemaker and dearly loved her family and spending time with them.
Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Perfecto Rodriguez of Lilesville; her children, Orbe Cesar, Jr. (Katie Caudill) of Lilesville and Danny Cesar of Miami, FL, Alex Rodriguez (Lupita Rodriguez) of Texas and Marlet Rodriguez of Minnesota; her grandchildren, Kevin Rodriguez, of Minnesota, Alexa Rodriguez, Justin Rodriguez of Texas, Joseph Brayboy and Jacob Brayboy both of Lilesville and their families: her beloved dog, Coffee; her father, Ramon Delgado and wife, Martiza of Miami, FL; her brothers, Ramon “Macho” Delgado and wife, Conchita of Miami, FL and Daniel Delgado of Wadesboro; her nieces and nephews, Barbie Delgado, Moses, Noah and Analise Rodiguez, Elda, Giovanni, Isaiah and Caleb Figueroa, Ashley Delgado, Romeo and Adrian, Evelina Delgado, Pedro Molina and Georgie Delgado and their families; her aunt, Tia Marina and her cousins, Rosa Fernandez and Alejandro Fernandez all of Miami, FL; her brother-in-law, Pastor Rodriguez and family of Lilesville and many other relatives and friends.
Marlene was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved her animals and taking care of them. She loved anything that had to do with construction and interior designing. She will greatly be missed but forever Live in our hearts.
The family thanks the staff of Anson Community Hospice and Richmond County Hospice for the loving way they cared for her.
