Marlene M. Huegler, 92, of Three Rivers, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in George West, Texas with loving family by her side.

Marlene was born in George West, Texas in 1932 to Don John Kolacek and Mary (Krugel) Kolacek. She lived in Live Oak County her entire life where she attended George West schools and became the proud owner of a dress shop. Those that knew her well recall her sharp wit, home-cooking and love for the Dallas Cowboys.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Don John Kolacek and Mary (Krugel) Kolacek; brother Lurtice Kolacek; sister Betty Roberson; husbands Billy Jack Chandler and Charles Floyd Huegler; son-in-law Tim Leo Crawford; and grandsons Billy Coy Lowe and Thomas Aaron Faulkenberry.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Lora (Kelly) Lowe and Sherrye (Ronald) Faulkenberry; four grandchildren, Guy (Brittany) Lowe, Stacy (Ty) Denton, Weston Faulkenberry and Sarah (Jay) Chappell; siblings, Johnny (Gloria) Kolacek, Jimmy (Marilyn) Kolacek and Francis Self; and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 28, at Brush Country Cowboy Church in George West with Pastor Pat Traxler officiating. Burial will follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Guy Lowe, Weston Faulkenberry, Ty Denton, Michael McTigue, Luke Goebel and Harlen Goebel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marlene’s memory to Brush Country Cowboy Church kitchen would be greatly appreciated.
