Marlene Ishmael

TIPP CITY -- Marlene D. Ishmael. age 87 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Friday, May 6, 2022. Marlene was born June 13, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Hugh and Irma {Rowe} Detrick. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, and siblings; Billy, Pam, Terry, Hugh, and Timmy Detrick. Marlene is survived by her son Larry Ishmael of New Tazewell, Tennessee, two grandchildren; Brandon (Samantha) Ishmael of Pleasant Hill, Ohio and Brittany (Micah) Otto, of Tipp City and six great grandchildren; Trevor, Bryton, Hayden, Makena, Roselyn and Baylor.

Marlene worked as the Office Manager for Ishmael Precision Tool Corporation and owner of the Plain n' Simple Gift Shop in Alcony, Ohio. She was a longtime member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church. She was a lover of all types of music especially gospel music. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, traveling and antiquing but her greatest joy in life was for her grandkids and family.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:30 PM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371 with funeral service beginning at 2:30 PM. Pastor Dan Glover officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
