Marlene Juneau Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Connell Funeral Home - Little Chute on Dec. 29, 2025.
Marlene Ann Juneau, Kaukauna, age 90, died Saturday, December 27, 2025, on her 70th wedding anniversary. She was born in Kaukauna on April 20, 1935, to the late Elwood and Orpha (Esler) Kobussen. Marlene married Lawrence J. Juneau, Jr. at St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish in Kaukauna on December 27, 1955. Marlene's life revolved around service to others. She started as a pediatric nurse before raising six children, driving the disabled, and running the religious education program at St. Mary Parish (St. Katharine Drexel) for over 28 years. Marlene was a natural nurturer and a wonderful mother. She was a very active member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish (both St. Aloysius and St. Mary Parishes), where she served as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister and, together, she and Larry volunteered as Funeral Mass servers. Marlene loved birds, birdhouses, flowers, and gardening. She was very social and loved any time she got to hang out and chat with any of her grandkids, nieces, and nephews.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Larry; children: Lawrence J. (Sarah) Juneau, III of Appleton; Kathryn Chandler of Surprise, AZ; Andre Juneau (Deby Gray) of Kaukauna; Christopher Juneau of Hayward, CA; and Marty (Sara) Juneau of De Pere; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Juneau of Appleton; grandchildren: Amanda (Ryan) Nichols, Samantha (Shane) McOwen, Mark L. Chandler, Paul (Karli) Chandler, Millicent Chandler, Veronica Chandler (fiancé Cameron Rhodes), Alex (Sophie) Juneau, and Emily (Zac Webster) Juneau; great grandchildren: Samuel, Audrey, Malcolm, Keaton, and Porter; siblings: James (Marian) Kobussen, John (Joann) Kobussen, and Joan (John) Rabideau; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Elizabeth Kobussen, Ann Kobussen, Raymond Juneau, and Leonard (Ann) Juneau. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Juneau; son-in-law, Mark S. Chandler; grandson, Troy Chandler; brothers: David and Michael Kobussen; and sister-in-law, Millicent (Michael) Hetzel.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH – ST. MARY CHURCH (119 W. 7th Street, Kaukauna). Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Sudha Sivvam officiating. Committal Goodman, WI.
