Marlene Susan Koontz

KOONTZ, Marlene Susan (nee: Szumski). January 27, 2026. Age 73. Beloved wife of the late Robert. Loving mother of Lauren Keitz and Mark Keitz. Proud and loving grandmother of Karina Keitz, Courtney McCormick (Jacob Fiori), Rebecca Tucker (Travis), Mark Keitz, and Mathew Keitz and GG of Jameson, Natalie, and Allie. Dear sister of Sherry Rhodes and Ronald Szumski (Lisa). Marlene found the greatest joy of her life in her family; she loved to spend time with them whenever possible and looked forward to family vacations and cooking for everyone. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas, and liked to be on the water or take long walks. Marlene was a graduate of Adlai Stevenson High School in Sterling Heights and had a long career at Century 21 Town & Country. Visitation Sunday 2pm until time of 5pm funeral service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile), Sterling Heights.
