Marlene Barbara (nee Suess) Locke, age 92 of Westfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Harris Villa Assisted Living. She was born on February 6, 1932 in St. Paul, MN to Frank and Mary (nee McDevitt) Suess. Marlene married Wayne Locke on Aug 26, 1950, in Milwaukee and they moved to Westfield in 1955. She was very active in Marquette County Association for the Disabled Children. Marlene was very passionate to help others with special needs as her son David was handicapped. She was also active in the Catholic Church in Westfield and Florida, the Marquette County Homemakers, and Senior Center. Marlene loved to be a stay-at-home mom and after her kids were grown, she worked at Bob & Kay’s restaurant as a cook before retiring. She has been a partner to Jerry Cagney for the last 20 years. They loved to do many things as a couple; snowbird to Florida during the winter, square dancing, golfing, playing cards with friends, gambling, bus tours with friends, and crocheting quilts for grandchildren. Marlene always treasured spending time with her family and always thought of her grandchildren as a blessing.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Locke; son, David Locke; parents, Frank and Mary Suess; sister, Kathleen Suess; daughter in law, Kathleen Locke; grandson, Brian Gale and great-grandson, Elijah Gale.
