McGAHEE – Marlene McGahee, age 77 of Snellville, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025. A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025 at St. Oliver Plunkett Catholic Church, 3200 Brooks Drive SW, Snellville, GA, with Father Cyriac Mattathilanickal, M.S. presiding. Marlene was born and raised in Gloversville, NY, graduating in 1966 from Gloversville High School. She was a fan of her local teams, the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and the Falcons. Marlene enjoyed colder weather and watching the snow fall. She was a devout Catholic and was proud of her Italian Heritage. She was a woman of God and loved the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard Harvey and Helen (Shanley) Suits; son-in-law, Ray "Bucky" Sikes; sister-in-law, Joan McGahee; friends, Sharon and Sherri; and her beloved pet, Gypsy. Marlene is survived by her beloved husband, Norman McGahee of Snellville, GA; daughter, Traci McGahee of Lawrenceville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Stacey McGahee of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas and Elizabeth McGahee of Monroe, GA, Timothy McGahee and Jaz Askew of Snellville, GA, Tiffany and Jacob Smith of Lawrenceville, GA, Madison McGahee of Gallatin, TN; great grandchildren, Mason Smith, Madylin Smith, Hunter McGahee; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Samuel Johnson of Aynor, SC; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald McGahee of Charleston, SC, Mack McGahee of Cumming, GA, Randy and Annie McGahee of GA, Keith and Teri McGahee of Dacula, GA, Andy McGahee of Clearwater, FL; nieces and nephews, Samuel Jr. and Kelli Johnson of Aynor, SC, Allie and Josh McGahee of Dacula, GA, Jeremy and Brooke Johnson of Aynor, SC; special friend, Gayle Whitman; dogs, Duece, Sadie Mae and Graham; cats, Monkey and Daisy. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. 770-466-1544.
