Byron passed away at the age of 6 following a tragic accident. Losing Byron has weighed heavily on Marlene's heart all these years. There is a joyous reunion in heaven now.
Marlene held several jobs over the years, served on the school board and was active in many clubs. However, caring for her family was her pride and joy.
Church was also a priority in her life. Before she moved to Off Broadway, she and her grandson Ty would often be found together in her pew.
She greatly enjoyed playing cards, dominos, bingo, completing puzzles, playing the piano and listening to music.
She loved traveling with Junior later in life. Wintering in Yuma was one of their favorite past times. Their trip to Alaska was also one she always talked about.
