Marlene Ness, 78, of Plover, passed away at her home on September 22, 2025. She was under the care of Heartland Hospice. Marlene was born on January 5, 1947, to the late John and Irene (Schultz) Okray.

Her marriage to Thomas Ness the one and only love of her life took place on June 10, 1967. Tom preceded her in death on June 16, 2019.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Mike) Scheidler of Wausau and her son Jason Ness of Junction City. Her grandson, Evan. She is also survived by one sister, Jeanette, two brothers, Tony Okray and Mike (Mary) Okray.

Marlene would like to thank her neighbors who came to be her family, Mike (Jolene), Dan (Cherry), Adam (Jennifer), Leroy (Janet), Donee and Mark, also her best friends Marcia and Annette.

A Catholic graveside service for Marlene will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday October 2, 2025, at Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point. Deacon Vern Linzmeier will preside the service.
