Marlene Orton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Serenity Funeral Home of Bluffdale on Feb. 12, 2026.
Marlene K. Orton passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026. Born on June 23, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, and a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Marlene married Daniel Martin in 1966 and later divorced. She later married Keith Orton. She is survived by her four sons-Sean (Jamie), Travis, Troy (Stacey), and Heath (Kylie); her ten grandchildren; her sister, Lynda; and many nieces and nephews.

Waiting in heaven were her father, Walter; mother, May; brothers, Dwayne and Lewis; sister, Madelin; and husband, Keith.

Marlene lived life on her own terms and loved her family deeply, especially her boys. She enjoyed the simple things: a cold Diet Coke, Chinese food, or a visit to a good salad bar. She was known for her cooking, and our friends often came over for dinner. She knew exactly what she liked and what she didn't, and her straightforward, no-nonsense spirit guided the way she lived.

She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, the warmth she shared through her cooking, and the quiet strength with which she faced life. Though she will be greatly missed, her legacy of love and the memories she created with those she loved will continue to live on.

The family would like to thank all who cared for our mom toward the end of her life, especially Brittany, Aubrey, Maggie, Heidi, and Jamie.

A private service will be held to honor her memory.
