Found peace and joined her beloved husband on February 26, 2023. Marlene was born on October 7, 1934, to Otto and Mary (Mae) Kadlec in Milwaukee, WI. She married Daniel H. Ostrowski, Sr. on January 22, 1955, and together they raised five children. While raising their family they enjoyed annual trips up north, fishing, and playing cards. After the children were grown and started their own families, Marlene then enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to play cards. She loved to be surrounded by family, the larger the gathering the happier she was. Marlene enjoyed sewing and crocheting, passing these skills on to her family. She also utilized these gifts to help those in need by donating afghans and personal items she crocheted or sewed. Marlene volunteered for 20 years at St. Francis hospital and was a devout Catholic and church member of Divine Mercy.
Loving mother of Kathy Kampa (the late Dean Kampa), Sue (Tim) Todd, Dan (Karen), Mike (Rene) and Deb Jaeger. Proud Grandma of Steve (Jessica) and Jason Kampa, Jennifer (Matt) Sharp, Andrew (Wendy) Kochanski, Christine (Dustin) Schlueter, Daniel and Brian Ostrowski, Jamie and Justin Ostrowski, and Jordyn Jaeger; step grandchildren: Kelly Todd, Kristen (Cory) Snyder, Karin (Nick) Wilbricht, Randy Lee, and Rachel (Jon) Stikl; five great grandchildren: Weston, Mariah, Keagan, Chloe, and Huntyr; step great grandchildren: Lisel, Ava, Cruz, Cecilia, Nolan, and Monroe. She is also survived by her sisters, June Worzalla and Karol Fischer; and sister-in-law, Peggy Kadlec. Her husband, Dan; parents, Otto and Mae; brother, Jim; and brother in laws, Hubert and Charlie, preceded her in death.
The family will be holding private services.
