Marlene J. (Short) Rosswog
"Mar" began her new life in heaven the afternoon of May 25, 2021. She was met at the gate by many family and friends whom she missed dearly, her husband Richard "Dick" Rosswog, parents Walter "Gook" and Agnes Hummell Short, sister-in-law Frances "Fran" Rosswog, and brother-in-law, Robert (late Fran) Rosswog were all glad to welcome her home. Mar was born February 3, 1938 and leaves behind a legacy of selflessness, caring, love and devotion. The following family and friends will carry that legacy forward through many generations: daughter Laura (Mike) Dormer and her precious grandson Joseph Dormer, Son Richard "Rick" (Jennifer) Rosswog and her precious granddaughter Gabriella Rosswog, her brother Ronald (Leila) Short; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Ed) James and family, William (Caryn) Short and family, Janice (Dave) Fabyonic and family, Robert (Mary) Rosswog and family, Ruth (Michael) James and family, Thomas (Alice) Rosswog and family, and Mary "Patty" (Pete) Zirpoli and family. Marlene will be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, her creativity through many beautiful works of art, crochet, knitting and quilts (quillows) she crafted and the many clothes she sewn for family and friends over the years. Mar always sought new ways to show and share her love. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 1st, 11 AM with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service at the Monroeville United Methodist Church, 219 Center Rd., Monroeville. The church is requesting ALL people attending to kindly wear a mask. A private interment will take place at Penn Lincoln Memorial. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Monroeville United Methodist Church. Arrangements by the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. Turtle Creek, (412) 823-1950.
