Marlene O. Schwartz (nee Daun), age 74 years, of Lomira was called home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2025, at Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc surrounded by her loving family.

Marlene was born on January 22, 1951, in Sheboygan to Otto and Cecelia Daun (nee Woelfel). She was united in marriage to Leslie “Les” Schwartz on May 2, 1987, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac.

Marlene graduated from New Holstein High School in 1969. She earned her associate’s degree from MPTC in Fond du Lac. Marlene was a career office manager in the accounting field. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and scrapbooking. Marlene especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those Marlene leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Les; children, Nathan Schwartz of Milwaukee and Kim (Brian) Thor of Manitowoc; grandchildren, Elliot and Adrian Thor; brother, Gene (Patty) Daun of Pewaukee; and sister-in-law, Doris (Joe) Priesgen of Lomira. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Cecelia Daun.

VISITATION: Marlene’s family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church (Halfway Church), N9910 Hwy 175 Lomira, WI 53048.

SERVICE: A Funeral Service in remembrance of Marlene will take place at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday at Church with Pastor Matthew Kuske officiating. A graveside service and burial will be at the church cemetery immediately following the church service.

Memorials in Marlene’s name can be directed to the Parkinson’s Foundation.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Shady Lane Rehabilitation and Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital, both in Manitowoc, for their care and compassion.
